GuildPost respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users of our platform to do the same. This DMCA Policy outlines our procedures for handling copyright infringement claims.

1. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA)

The Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) provides a mechanism for copyright owners to request the removal of infringing material from online service providers. GuildPost complies with the DMCA and responds promptly to valid takedown notices.

2. Reporting Copyright Infringement

If you believe that content on GuildPost infringes your copyright, please send a written DMCA takedown notice containing the following information:

Required Information:

  1. Physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or authorized agent
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed (or a representative list if multiple works)
  3. Identification of the infringing material and its location on our platform (URL or specific location)
  4. Your contact information (address, telephone number, email)
  5. Good faith statement that you believe the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
  6. Accuracy statement under penalty of perjury that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner

3. Where to Send Notices

4. Counter-Notification

If you believe your content was removed in error or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notification containing:

  • Your physical or electronic signature
  • Identification of the removed content and its location before removal
  • Statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the content was removed by mistake
  • Your contact information and consent to jurisdiction of the federal court in your district

Send counter-notifications to the same email address above with "DMCA Counter-Notification" in the subject line.

5. Repeat Infringers

GuildPost will terminate the accounts of users who are determined to be repeat infringers. A repeat infringer is a user who has been notified of infringing activity more than twice or has had content removed for infringement more than twice.

6. Processing Timeline

We strive to process all DMCA notices within:

  • Acknowledgment: Within 24 hours of receipt
  • Initial review: Within 2 business days
  • Content removal (if valid): Within 3 business days of receipt
  • Counter-notification processing: Within 10-14 business days

7. False Claims

Please note that under Section 512(f) of the DMCA, any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material or activity is infringing may be subject to liability for damages. Ensure your claims are accurate and made in good faith.
